Hair cuts!

Well we have family pictures coming up in a week or so and from all the food stuck in Xelly's hair the ends were looking a little homely again. So i figured it was a perfect time for her to get another hair cut. She didn't cry or smile. She probably didn't even blink but she did get a bouncy ball at the end of it!

She wont hold still for an after shot. so picture her hair a little shorter.

Xelly has been getting out of her crib from the time she was about 13 months. That means I got to sit in the hall and wait for her to get out of bed so I could put her back to sleep. That normally lasted about an hour till she gave in and would pass out. So about 2 weeks ago we broke down and figured because she was already getting out of bed we might as well just take the front of her crib off and put up a rail. She loved it for the first nap then after that it was just even easier for her to get out of bed. So I sat by the door holding the doorknob so she could not open the door because this house has no locks on the rooms...lame. She would scream roll around kick the doors and pull all her clothing out of her dresser. Awesome huh.

So I resided to put up a gate so she would not be able to get past that and would just go back to sleep here are the different pictures I got before she learned her bed is more comfortable.

As of last night she has broken the gate out of the wall 3 different times. She is a beast. so strong.

Well we have been MIA for a while. We have been doing so much and staying so busy with different trips for work and trips to see family.
We went to Az over thanksgiving weekend and stayed a few extra days. We had 6 days packed full of fun, family and friends. I miss Az more than I can explain so it was so nice to go home and see everyone! Cant wait till Jan till we get to go back.

Lately I feel like I have been cleaning all day and not getting anywhere.

It was a easy choice to have Xelly be Snow White. She already had the hair! Her outfit is rising up and she is covered in cookie but you cant get much cuter than that!
Isn't Prince Charming just a dream come true!? We made his costume the day of the party and I think he pulled it off perfect! He even has the hair and tights!

I mean she takes my keys our of my purse and opens the door to the garage. opens my car door climbs inside and starts scream laughing to get my attention.

For our fun no church because everyone is sick sunday, we decided to do some painting!

I cut open some garbage bags and covered the table then Xelly went to town on her ~~pumpkin~~ body

Then it was clean up time and in the sink she went. She played for about an hour then stood up and said "da ta"

A fun family date night!

Jacob & Xelly have both been sick and now I am getting sick as well... wahoo!

We ventured out and bought Xelly some winter clothing then hit up a pumpkin patch.

I was shocked when I saw these "patches" because I have never seen anything like this before except in a movie. I was amazed.

So we picked out pumpkins out and took a few pictures in the dark.

Then hit up some chic-fil-a and gorged ourselves with food. Yum!

Lots has been going on lately I just have zero desire to write about any of it.
Mainly because I have to fight off a little 2-3 foot human from climbing on top of the computer while I attempt to write something.

Lately our favorite thing to do is play with balloons! Jacob will being a few ADT balloons home from work. Xells loves it! She brings the balloon to us and we blow it up hand it to her and she likes to watch it fly around the room. lets just say I have been a little light headed for the past few days.

Jacob and I have been working with Xelly to start using her words and having patients. Ya I know she is a little girl and people have always told me that I talk to her like I am talking to an adult but I don't get whats wrong with that. She understands basically everything we ask her to do and if she doesn't then we explain things step by step so she will. But her hardest struggle is patients. For example, if a necklace is around her foot she flips out. small things. So we have been teaching her to not freak out and try to get it off herself or ask for help instead of screaming and throwing a fit while 9 out of 10 times hitting her head on something on her way to a full on arched back, leg kicking, arms flailing tantrum.

She has caught on to putting things back where they go for the most part after she is done playing with them. Like books, shoes, some toys and random things she finds in my junk drawer. This has been a blessing because it keep my house about 10% cleaner like I said for the most part.

Xelly is almost 17 months old. She is a doll. I love spending every day with her. I don't take her to the doctor so I don't know her stats but she is cute, healthy and tall. Her new favorite word is Wow and her little mouth looks so adorable when she says it.

She is in love with shoes, purses, keys, any form of jewelry and all of my make up. Her dolls are her best friend and she makes sure they eat and drink whatever she has. They also get their bums & faces wiped and she attempts a diaper change. Before she does to bed at night she puts them in a chair with a blanket on them and kisses their cheeks. at nap time she takes them both to her crib so she can cuddle with them till she falls asleep. She is a pretty good mom.

I love to play with her but I mostly like to sit quietly and watch her play and figure things out when she doesn't know I am watching. Once she sees me or Jacob looking at her she invites us over to do whatever she does.
She is a family girl. if all 3 of us are home she makes sure we do everything together. Even if its the simplest thing like moving all on the same couch or reading the same book all together. Its pretty cute!

She sleeps the same as she has from birth. 8:30-8:30
Eats food. loves pop tarts and fig newtons.
Dogs are her favorite animal
Her favorite person is me. unless her dad is home or on the phone then its all about him- and I love it.
dancing is the best past time. she has some rad moves!

My Crafty life!

What have I been up to today?!

I made this with 2 black boas hot glued around a wood wreath.

Then I had some extra fabric so I tied a bow hot glued it how I liked then glued it to the wreath.

simple! took about 15 minutes.

My mother and father in law made this bench. I had been talking about wanting something so I could sit on the front porch while Xelly played. They used part of a crib then made the bench.

I picked out a color (that ended up being a little brighter than I thought) i liked and painted it.

This is such a fun craft!

I got a 2x4 and cut it into sections. a 18'. 10', 9', and 2 8' pieces. I used a fabric that's like cheese cloth but a little cheaper. gauze could work also. Then I painted them and hot glued them to the board then put a screw through the bottoms to help them be more stable.

This one is in Xelly's play room. I got some crayons, lined them up by color, hot glued them to a canvas. Then took a blow dryer and and melted them. Xells loves to point to all of the colors!

I painted the bench it was just wood. then I covered the top needle point because it didn't match anything I had. Also, I was not very fond of it. This was my first ever upholstery project and I think it ended pretty good. I hot glued it on then nailed it down after for extra support and I thought it seemed easier that way.

Now its under out piano!... that still needs to be tuned.

he is my new baby whisperer. Xelly was throwing a fit about 3 seconds before this.

Playing in the water all day. soaking up the sun. Fun family jokes and yummy snacks. No contact with the rest of the world. Not a care in the world. That's my kind of perfect right there!!

I have not done a month update on Xelly in a long time. She is like a whole new kid full of non stop energy and so many words to share.

At almost 16 months (on the 23rd) Xelly:

- waves and says hi to everyone even passing cars

- can understand just about everything I say to her like "bring me your bottle" or "lets go upstairs" "where are your shoes" "can you pick up that trash" she is a little smarty

- reads books to herself in her own language and laughs

- loves all animals especially dogs and birds (or anything that flies)

- loves to boogy at any little noise

- is ready for a baby. wants to hold every baby she sees and loves to play with her baby dolls

- loves older kids

- has about 6 teeth. 3.5 on top and 2 on bottom

- backyardigans is her new favorite show... besides tom n jerry

- does not like to wear clothing. At all.

- plays outside just about all day. she loves to play in the water and "help pull weeds"

- building things and figuring out how to take items apart and put them back together is fun.

- plays by herself but likes to look up to make sure I'm watching and gives a big cheesy smile.

- loves her cat and waves at him each time she sees him.

- plays the piano each time she passes it. she loves to make music.

- she is in size 4 diapers still

- weighs about 22 lbs and last I checked is

- wears 2T-3T clothing when she gets dressed

- loves to wear shoes... any one's shoes that are laying around

Pizza Casserole

Pizza Casserole

I wanted to share a new yummy and quick meal!

It is A-MA-ZING!

love it.

Here's my tutorial on how to make PIZZA CASSEROLE

Ingredients:

1 bag of Egg Noodles

1 extra large can of Ragu sauce {or any tamato sauce you prefer}

3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese {or more depending on how much you ♥ cheese!}

1 1/2 lbs hamburger meat

1 package pepperonis

You will also need one of these

Brown the meat, & drain

And boil noodles until soft. Drain.

**Don't forget to preheat the oven @ 350!

Now the layering starts!

Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on the bottom

Second layer, half of the noodles

3} half of the meat

4} half of the sauce

5} rest of the noodles

6} half the cheese

7} rest of the meat

8} rest of the sauce

9} rest of the cheese

10} pepperonis {I only used half the package. saved the rest for next time}

It should look a little something like this...

Now cover with foil, and bake for 30 minutes

After 30 minutes, remove the foil & bake for another 15 minutes

VOILA!

Once it's done baking, take it out & let it sit for 10 or 15 minutes. {This is to cool it off AND to let everything settle together. If you don't let it sit, it will just fall apart on your fork!}

DIY- Play Kitchen

So I found a picture of a play kitchen made from a night stand and had no other choice but to make one of our own. I could not get it out of my mind.
The next day or two I went to DI, Savers, looking around at garage sales and no luck. I had this image of the perfect looking dresser to destroy and could not find it anywhere.
So i picked up some pots and small pans for $2.00

Then the next day Jacob called me and sent a picture of two different dresser things and her brought one home for a whopping $10.00. He had stopped by a savers is SLC and found our new project!

That night we started working and had it all put together.
Ill let the pictures show you the steps.

took the top off. to use as dividers for between the oven & microwave and a divider for between the two sides.

the shelf that was already inside the desk, we moved down about 2 inches so Xelly could reach it better.
That became the top of the kitchen with a "back splash" around it so toys would not fall off.
Jacob cut the sides to be slanted so it didnt feel as boxed in

A missing picture step is when we cut out the sink. just took a jig saw and cut a circle!

Xelly and I went and looked at colors. Xelly picked out her favorite pink color and that is what we painted it! Primed it white so the wood would not soak up the pink color. then we painted it pink!!

Then we went to Walmart and picked out some fabric to make the curtain. my first time sewing a curtain. not to shabby huh!?

We liquid nailed the sick on so xelly could not pull it out. The sink is just a small mixing bowl.
Then painted on the microwave and oven.
Jacob bolted the hinges on because I could not get it right after trying 10 times

Walah! Now it is inside and a rad new toy!!

I just need to find a faucet!

The fun part is you can make anything out of well... anything!!
This is one of the things on my craft list! I can now move onto finishing up the piano!

Family Camping

We went on a ward camping trip this weekend (7-29 till 7-30) about an hour from our house and man it was nice to get away from the city!
I always go back and forth between wanting to live in a small town in the middle of the woods and loving the "city".
We had a lot of fun except when it was time for bed.
Xelly got a runny nose so that plus the cold was like a little waterfall. She could not sleep laying flat because then she would wake up because she could not breath. So she slept on my chest for about an hours. She slept I tried to get comfortable. then we moved her in-between us with her head lifted for about 2 more hours.
Then the crying came she could not get comfortable and it felt like it was 20 degrees so after her screaming and a few others probably getting woke up by her we headed to the truck thinking maybe she would sleep in her car seat.
Nope! Once we got in the truck she woke up and wanted to play. So we turned on the heater and played from about 2:30 am till she passed out on our lap at 5am. Then Jacob and I tried to join her and slept very uncomfortably till 7am.
She was still sleeping so we picked her up and laid her back in our tent and caught another hour or so of sleep before everyone else was up.
Once she woke and had a little angry moment she was ready to be outside and play!

It was worth the sleepless night and freezing cold to get away for a bit and see how much fun this little lady had in nature! We will be doing it again once we hunt down a tent heater!!

Our goal for enjoying Utah is to go see something new each weekend as a family
So a few weekends ago we went to the Hogle Zoo I think I was more excited to go than Xelly or Jacob.
We packed some snacks loaded up the car and took off!
Xelly didnt care to much at first because she didnt notice any of the monkeys because they were all sleeping and hiding in trees. Then we got to the Elephants and she got so excited.
The tigers were by far her favorite she would growl at them and call them kitty.

We went and it was still "zoorassic park" so they have life size modles.
Xelly was not a fan of them!

We stayed for about 5 hours and we were all exhausted on the way home.

Xelly passed out in her car seat then Jacob passed out once we got home.

Slow- Baked Mac and Cheese

Slow- Baked Mac and Cheese

Recipe Courtesy of "Not Your Mother's Slow Cooker Recipes for Two"

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups milk

One 12 oz can evaporated milk (I used skim, evaporated milk keeps the egg and milk from curdling)

1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted, cooled to room temp

3 large eggs

1/2 tsp salt

3 cups (12 oz) shredded cheese (I used an Italian blend, recipe calls for Italian fontina cheese)

1/2 pound elbow macaroni or mini penne tubes, par cooked and drained (this means cook them for about five minutes until tender but not completely cooked)

Freshly ground black pepper to taste

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Spray the inside of your slow-cooker with cooking spray or grease it with olive oil. Combine milk, evaporated milk, eggs, butter, and salt in slow-cooker and whisk until until smooth (or you can use an immersion blender to do the whisking for you).

Add the shredded cheese (not the Parmesan) and macaroni, sprinkle with black pepper (and whatever other spices you want to use). Stir gently with a spatula to coat evenly.

Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese on top. Cover and cook on HIGH for 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, reduce the temperature to LOW and cook for 2 to 2 1/2 hours, until custard is set in the center and the pasta is tender. The macaroni and cheese may sit in the cooker on the KEEP WARM setting for 30 minutes before serving. Before dishing it up, I sautéed some bread crumbs with olive oil and sprinkled them over the top to make it a little fancier.

YUMM!!!

Wisdom Teeth

After a about 18 months of having my wisdom teeth bother me I finally go them out!
They started bothering me about half way through my pregnancy but I could not do anything about it
then after Xells was born they were find untill about 3 months ago.
They got infected and hurt when I would eat anything. So we made arrangements for my mom to come to Ut to watch Xelly while I had them removed.
I got put under so all i remember was being in the waiting room playing with Xelly then they took me back to the room and the doctor sat down and before I knew it the IV was in. Then he asked me three questions about Xelly and I passes out and woke up in another room.
That night we went to braza grill and ate yummy food.- I was not a fan of the idea nothing but smoothies

A few months back when it was still a little chilly here in Ut but was in the 90's to 100's we got a pool for Xelly to play in. It was still a llttle cold so I heated the water then filled up the pool so it was a little better.

We had been doing yard work most of the day so after xells woke up from her nap we disided to look up a local pool to go swimming at to cool down.
Their happened to be one about 2 miles away that cost 3 bucks a person and xells got in free so we had fun!
Xelly is not afraid of the water at all. She will jump in off the edge of the pool and go underwater.
She loves to be thrown in the air and land in the water.
I am glad she loves it because Lake Powell is coming up soon and it will be so excited!

Xellys 1st haircut!

So when Xells was about a month old my mom begged us to let her cut Xellys hair. We told her after Xells turned one that we would let her cut it.
So My mom came to UT simply for the reason to cut Xells hair... kidding but that was a bonus!
We tried to take some good pictures but xells didn't like us hanging out behind her so she could not see us.

Her hair was at the middle of her back when pulled straight.

I have been missing from the blog world. It was kind of a nice break but I also missed reading other peoples posts.

Talk. Xelly. Surgery/Biopsy

Last week Jacob and I got asked to speak in church on Forgiveness... I had a little over half of my talk written when Xelly leaned on the computer and broke the screen. Good think I had been studying forgiveness. Or good thing she is so darn cute that its hard to be mad at her.

Xelly turned 13 months!!
I was not sure if continuing to post about her month birthdays was worth it or not but I like to remember the little things.
She now has 3.5 teeth. the .5 is because only a tiny tiny tiny corner is popping out. She had her 2 bottom and 1.5 on the top. So stinkin cute when she smiles!
She is a fish. She will stand on the edge of the pool and jump in go under and come up with a big smile.
She loves to float as much on her own as she can.
She eats pretty good if she is hungry. she is not hungry very often right now for some reason.
Sleeping 8:30pm-9am
Nap either 11:30-4:30 or 12:30-5
Loves her daddy more and more each day!
Learned how to say "where is that" (where dat) and "where did it go" (where di do- and makes a O face)
Can also say: Bye. Hi. Dog. Kitty Cat. Dad. Momma.
Kisses are a must
Her new off and on Bff is her doll
She cant live without her blanket!

Biopsy/surgery- On Tuesday I went in to get a biopsy and ended up leaving with more that I asked. I went in originally to get a mole removed because it was changing shape and color and kinda freaked me out. So I got to the dermatologist and he said that it should be removed and then looked around for others. He ended up finding 4 that he said should be removed. One on my back shoulder blade, My inner thigh(leg), right below my butt cheek, and behind me knee. All on the left side of my body.
Lets just say it was not exciting. Once I saw him pull out the needle I got nervous and Jacob could not help but laugh a little because I am pathetic when it comes to needles.
The doc however didn't numb one of then enough and as i felt him cut into my leg i made a face along with a noise and the nurse looked shocked as she retarded(ly) asked "can you feel that" then she pinched me. UH DUH! So they put the needle in again and then I felt better.
It has now been 3 days and I can cross my legs but its still hard to sit on the toilet because the seat rubs the bobo.

Each night Jacob puts peroxide on them and I cry a little inside while squirming a ton. Cant wait for them to heal!!

Maybe I'm the last one to know, but if not, you've gotta check out this cool website called Wordle.

It lets you enter either a paragraph of text, a website/blog/any other url and then makes a word cloud from the most used words within what you provided.

For example, I made a wordle using the Truly Lovely blog URL.

COOL, right?
The site chooses the most used words and creates your word cloud.
From there you can customize the colors, shape, and even remove words to make it your own.
Then you can print or share it as you please. :)

Jacob is the best dad to our little girl. We wait for him to get home and when Xells sees his car she points and heads straight to the driveway.
She giggles non stop when dad is around- he just makes everything more exciting and so much fun!
Nothing beats a fathers love when she gets a bobo.
Jacob is her everything!!

My dad is the best dad I could ever ask for! He has always been their for me and is such a great example to me. He does more than he knows and his actions of service have helped so many!

My father in law is so nice and caring. Jacob is lucky to have him for a father and I am glad he helped make Jacob into the man he is today!

For dinner I made Baked Salmon with Pineapple salsa and Baked Asparagus! YUMMM!

Poor some Pineapple juice over each salmon then sprinkle Ms. Dash (the original blend) over each one.
Bake at 375 degrees for 5-10 min. or until fish is cooked and flaky.

Cut up pineapple, red, orange, yellow, and green, pepper, some habanero pepper, and cilantro
poor a little extra pineapple juice in mix and eat along side with salmon or with chips!

Then I did Baked Asparagus!
Place asparagus on pan add oil till each is coated with oil. then sprinkle parmigiana cheese and garlic spice over the top. place in oven at 450 for 15 min! Yum! my husband likes it a little burnt so if you don't cook a little less.

Last week Xelly and I finally got around to planting our garden.
She loved digging in the dirt and playing with the shovels.

She ate a tone of it so her shirt went from white to brown.
We planted:
Corn, Strawberries, tomatoes, cucumber, and cantaloupe. I cant wait to see if they live!

After we planted it started to rain- talk about perfect timing!
So we went inside and she took a nap and I caught up on some tv

Then when Xells woke up it was back outside to wait for dad to come home.
Like usual she ends up in a diaper playing in the water.

She is just Super Cute!

At 1 year Xelly has been learning so fast and so much!
She weighs 21.7lbs
Her height is 30in.
Wearing 18-2T clothing

She loves to climb up the stairs and learned to walk down them
She claps when she does something good
waves when you say hi or buy

Shopping is her favorite- or at least the idea.
She will get the keys and then grab my hand and walk me over to the garage then pat on the door.
She sleeps from 8:30-9 sometimes 10
takes one 4 hour nap
She loves to play outside she is out there about 80% of the day
Playing in the dishwasher is her second favorite
She loves her dad more than anything. Each day we wait outside for dad to get home and when he comes around the corner she gets so excited and starts to wave!

She is the cutest thing! She would not leave the Old Navy dog alone

Urgent Care

So I have been so far behind with blogging because well life has just been crazy!
A bit ago-- the 19th. Xelly woke up from her nap screaming a different scream so I went up to her room and saw her standing up like normal but when I went to get her out of her crib I noticed all of these little bumps on her knuckles, wrists, ankles, lower back, back of neck. I did not know what to do or what it was I figured maybe a bug in her crib that was biting her so I put all of her bedding and clothing in a deep sanitize cycle and then I called Jacob & my mom to get their opinion and they said to go to Urgent Care. I got Xelly dressed and got a little snack and bottle for her to take with us. We were on our way to the destination but when I got to the address their was no Urgent Care. Her bumps were going away then showing up in another area so quickly I was debating on just going home because I was so lost.. and hour later and a few phone calls Jacob gave my a new address and we were seeing a doctor in about 10 minutes!

They weighed her (20lbs) took her temp (97 degrees) then we went in the room and the nurse said she was way to happy to be here- I agreed she was smiling and giggling like normal. In the room they put the thing on her foot to get her pulse. Then they checked her breathing and thats when they noticed something wrong. They asked hot long she had been breathing like that and I said from the time I got her out of her crib. Then the Doctor asked what was wrong and I showed her the bumps and she said they were a type of Hive- that was mine & Jacobs guess but I still had never treated it- I told her that she had Peanut butter for lunch and then the doc called the hospital and debated on sending her to the Emergency room because she had pooped a bunch, thrown up and her was breathing off the Doc called it Anaphylaxis shock (a life-threatening, whole-body allergic reaction that causes breathing difficulty). I was not all for that but whatever is best. They did a few more breathing treatments to check and gave her some Benadryl (Diphenhydramine) and they said she calmed down so we could go home.

I didn't know how bad it was because she brought up the Emergency Room no lie I was nervous! Every few hours I had to wake her up to give her some Benadryl and check her breathing. A few days and doctor check ups later she is perfect!

I have given her peanut putter before and she has never had a problem with it so I was confused at why that would of been what had caused it. She told me to not give her any for about 3 years!!! What! I will probably try it in about 6 months but a tiny amount or take her to get an allergy test.

Nothing like your heart dropping when you notice something is wrong with your little one.

HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY XELLY!!!

I went overdue so I was scheduled to go in and be induced by gel inset Saturday May 22^nd at 11:30am

May 22^nd 7am

I woke up early to get showered, shave, eat breakfast and get my bag ready just incase. I was sitting eating chereos talking to Jacob about what we were about to do when my phone rang around 8am. It was the hospital calling to tell me they were slow so I could come in at 9am. I said YES! So we left in hopes of not coming home for another 2 days.

We arrived checked in got our rad braclets and moved into our room. I had the nicest nurse named Laura. She put a needle in my hand and I freaked!!! and took a picture.

Then she checked for dilating and effacing and was shocked when I was not even .5 cm dilated I was however about 95% effaced. She then explained to me that they would insert a gel and I needed to lay flat for an hour then walk around for an hour to see if anything happened. They would do this 3-4 times then send me home & I should go into labor on my own in 2-3 days. I said alright and we did the first one and then watched a movie then walked around for an hour. I felt little tightening twitches but it felt like gas bubbles to me so we continued to walk and passes a weight scale so I jumped on and weighed in at 183 WOW! Then headed back to our room.

Laura checked and hooked me up to the fetal monitor to see how things are going. We continued to hang out & watch a movie. The nurse came in in a rush asking if I could feel what was going on and I said no I didn’t feel anything not even a twitch. The nurses & doctors did this about 5 times then my Decivery Doctor came in and said that they are not going to do another insert because I was contracting way to often without feeling anything so they didn’t want to give me any more for fear that they would not be able to get the gel out. The DDoc said our option in to be admitted. I said yes please… almost 41 weeks was long enough for me. She brought in the paper work for us to sign and then my cute husband asks “wait… does this mean we are not leaving until we have a baby” the doc could not help but laugh and answered “Yes!”

The next step was to insert a long string like thing up by the babies head it would release the goods into my body like the gels but it could be removed if needed. So they inserted it and I had to lay flat for 12 hours so it would not fall out. Jacob & I called out parents to tell them that we would be staying in the hospital & I sent Jacob home to get the car seat & his pillow because he was not going home anytime soon!

The nurses checked me every few hours & were still wondering why I was not feeling what was going on. The contractions were between 12-14 (really big) on the chart & 16 seconds -2 minutes apart. They were not sure what was going on with the contractions if I was not dilating at all.

Around 4:00pm they checked me and I was at a 2 so they broke my water and Bam I felt the contractions. I went to the bathroom then asked if I could go home. Sadly they said no so I laid back down. My parents were there and tried to help me breath through them but after I covered my face with a pillow they decided to leave. Haha I don’t blame them. Do you think I am a sissy yet?!

7pm-The Doctor decided it would be best if we inserted an internal monitor to see what the contractions are doing and If they were really as big as the chart said. She also said if I wanted an epidural I could get it now then I would not be so uncomfortable with the monitor in, so I said ok and I was happy as a bug after freaking out about getting a big shot. So I called my parents and said sorry if I scared them off.

I laid their watching movies while Jacob took a nap I got checked every 3 or so hours but nothing to exciting was going on. I texted by brother and some friends till about in the morning then I noticed that I was the only one still awake. I tried to sleep but each time I would dose off someone would come in to check me or the monitor.

At around 5+ am they said I was at a 10 and ready to push but that the doctor was at Chandler Hospital so we had to wait for her to get here. At about 5:50 the on call doctor showed up and our parents got there. I had my mom & Jacobs mom sit on the couch while I had a baby. At 6:11 am Xelly was born. 8lbs 9oz 20 in She was and still is perfect!

We hung out every day after we met. EVERY DAY! I loved seeing him, talking to him, texting him, everything. I was head over heels about this boy. He didn't have an official job anymore so we were able to see each other any time I was not working.
He would bring me lunch, plan cute dates like...
What I consider our official he asked me out at night date was:
I went over to his house because he said he had something that was a surprise and I needed to hurry up! When I got there he said he was going to take me somewhere. So we went outside and their was a Harley! He took me on a motorcycle ride up to Las Sendas and we climbed up on this rock that overlooked the city. It was about 8pm so all the city lights were on but it was super dark out where we were so it was just beautiful!! Then on the way home we stopped at the store and got ice cream and went back to his place and ate a ton! It was so much fun I still think it was my favorite date we have ever been on!

One night I believe it was Oct 13 or 14 we were at institute (a class at night for lds members) and after class we went and got some food at this yummy place Cheba Hut- if you have never been you need to go! Order the White Widow its heaven.
anyway so we went to get some food then dropped off his roommates at his house and went for a drive. We went down to a lake and talked but it was freezing cold to me so we went back to warm up in the truck and we started talking about fun things we had done sense we met and then Jacob said "So I guess that means were boyfriend and girlfriend" I replied with "ya, I guess so" how romantic!! I was so excited because even though we had just met we were both tired of playing games we were both looking for something more serious. I was just one step closer to marrying the man of my dreams!

2 or so weeks later was Halloween... my favorite holiday besides Thanksgiving & Christmas. I talked Jacob into dressing up in a bunny costume that some of my brothers wore and it made me so happy because I thought it was so funny! I went and got ready with some of my girl friends then met up with Jacob and we went to get some food. Then we headed over to my brothers house for a rad party!

The next big event was the I Love You!
One day I was at work and had a few hours between lunch. So Jacob picked me up and we went to this nice place called Brio. I ordered a sandwich and he ordered fish of some kind and we ate. Then he got a phone call and ended up talking on the phone forever!! After the phone call he got kinda nervous and I thought the phone call ended up being a bad thing and that something had happened but then he turned to me and started saying some nice things about me and then said "so i have decided I am in love with you!" I froze. I was so happy inside I did not know what to do. I took one more bite of my food then replied "thanks".... WHAT! Thanks?!? I felt like a jerk but I didn't know what else to say. I knew I loved him but I didn't want to say anything just because he said it and I told him that I would say it when I was 110% because I wanted this to be the last first time I say I love you to a boy. He was okay with it but I still felt bad good thing he loved me right!!

So I woke up so excited for the day ahead. I was on call for work and hoping that nothing would get in the way of my afternoon.
I was in the back yard letting my 4 little turtles get some sun while I waited for Jacob to come over and counting down the minutes. Little did I know Jacob was already inside meeting my mom!

She was singing a song at the top of her lungs with her head in the pantry- I had told Jacob to just come in because we would be outside. To his surprise he got serenaded & about scared my mother to death. They got to talking and my mom liked him right away.

I walked inside not expecting to see him but he was helping my mom with something. I got a big smile on my face but acted as if I was not super excited. We all talked for a bit then my dad came in and met him as well- my dad tried to put on a fatherly act but he is just a big softy. We laughed and joked around then left.

We were heading to go play ball and I was talking smack because I was so nervous about playing and duh running in front of Jacob. I ended up loosing-- big shock!! but we had so much fun playing and learning little facts about each other! I kept having to check my phone to make sure I didn't have to go to work and thankfully I didn't but Jacob had to help his roommate so we called it a day and he drove me home.

Like a real man he walked to me the front door and we had that long odd pause so me being to brave girl I am I kissed him- ya he kissed me back! then of course my dad came to the door and we both jumped back. He claimed "I heard a car door and wanted to check who it was" oh dad...! So we said bye and I went inside and he headed home.

I went over to a girls house and was hanging out when I got a text around 6pm Wahoo! "1 new message- Jacob Beach" He asked if I wanted to come over and watch a movie I was so excited but didn't want to just go over there so I hung out with my friend a bit longer then was on my way.

We watched one of my favorite movies ever O Brother, Where Art Tho. Have you seen it? Yet-- we didn't watch much because we were making out. Cute boy! We could not help it!
(we are LDS and do not believe in sex before marriage just fyi)

We kissed then watched the movie then hung out and talked then I went home. with butterfly's in my stomach and on cloud 9 because I really really liked that boy!

Our Story: Our first "date"

I woke up to a text. I was so excited when it said "1 new message- Jacob Beach" I was giddy.
I opened it up and I cant remember what it said... something that made me super happy. So I get ready for work- I am a massage therapist so I dress comfortable that fine Tuesday I was lazy so I put on a to big white shirt and my black comfy pants and some crocks with my hair in a low pony tail. Ya I know so not attractive but its work so no biggy!

I happened to work in the same office as my mom- she was doing nutrition scans in the room next to me so after my first few clients I went and got some lunch then sat down to catch up with her. the first words that popped out of my mouth were "So I met the man I am going to marry last night" with no expression on my face. My mom quickly stopped what she was doing and wanted every detail. I started talking then got a text and wahoo!! "1 new message- Jacob Beach" this time it said "want to go to lunch?" I replied "ya, I am starving" little did he know I had just bough some lunch. my mom enjoyed it for me!

So I had about 3 hours till my next appointment so I took off and met Jacob at Panda Express. Yum!!
I got there and saw him and my heart went crazy he looked good. All dressed up button up, slacks, dress shoes very nice! then like I said.... too big of shirt, comfy pants, crocks! and nasty pony tail. yuck! I bet he wished he could turn around because I did not look cute like I did the night before.
We sat down and talked forever about everything he even ended up sitting right next to me by the end of lunch instead of across the table. I guess looks are not everything!

I found out that he was quitting his job so he was out "looking for something new" aka waisting time at Walmart.
His favorite thing to do was play basketball- he lived with the 2 guys I met at the party- he was 24- he is like a human jutbox(?) (he knows every song)- he was interested in me!!
I had to go back to work so we said good bye and planned to play some basketball at a court by my house the next day/afternoon. I was so excited I could not wait.

The rest of the day we continued to text and get to know each other.

Our Story: Lets start at the beginning

About a week before I met Jacob

(short recap) I broke up with my last boyfriend about 3 or 4 months earlier then met another boy & lets call him "rebound". I would never normally like a guy like him I just needed to get over my last relationship of 18 months.

October 2008- I was living at my brothers house because my parents and I got in a fight and they kicked me out for a bit. I had an awesome friend names Hailee that I had not seen in 18 months because I was that girl that never saw her friends only the guys. I was so excited to see her and she had just invited me to go to a dance party called Rockin R Ranch ( I don't dance). We danced for hours non stop I ended up getting home around like 1am or so and could not even walk normal I was so tired and my feet hurt so bad!

I am in the middle and Hailee is right next to me in the black & white.

I ended up getting sick right after that with tonsillitis and went back home to my parents house because I was annoyed with my brothers roommates and tired of living out of a bag. I was home alone for a week because my parents were on vacation. I remember calling my mom crying because my throat hurt so bad and I could not eat or drink anything but refused to go to the doctor.

By Monday night I was all better and my parents had just got home. I was talking to them about how I was done with guys and going on a 5 year plan of no dating, a mission for the LDS church when I turned 21 then picking my life up again when I returned.

That night I got a text from Hailee (remember awesome friend) that said she was doing a game night at another girl Emily's ( a girl I didn't really like because she was perfect & I was jealous(now one of my best friends)) house and she wanted me to go. So I got up dressed and was ready to be with some girls. I got their and was having such a fun time I had missed people and having so much fun!

(are you bored?... get excited!!)

About an hour into game night in walk 3 boys. I grab my phone and text Hailee something like "Ya, I like him he is way cute" regarding a boy in a hat and long shirt who I thought was like 25-27 years old. She says "that's Jacob he is like the sweetest guy I know".

We all start to play a game called Mafia and I was one of the "Mafia" so I got to pick who got killed.
If you don't know what Mafia is look it up and you will understand this better.
After the Mafia kills a person the other people have to try to figure out who the Mafia is- if you caught you are out of the game. Well this kid Jacob look at me and said "you look like a criminal"
I respond with "Me are you kidding I am so innocent" -- I got caught by the cute boy and was out of the game.

After the game I went out on the tramp with a friend and Jacob and his friend Seth followed us out their. We played around but I never spoke to him I just smiled. Then we went back inside and hung out.

Hailee had gone to Massage Therapy school with me, that's how we met, so she was giving a shoulder rub to one of the guys and this kid Seth grabs my arm and pulls me across this table or something and is being a jerk saying "rub my shoulders" so I push on a pressure point and he didn't want anything to do with me! So I switch spots with Hailee and am now sitting by the cute Jacob. He asked if I want a shoulder rub and I said ya that would be awesome. We start to talk and learned that he was 25 and that I was 19 ( he thought i was like 15) I also learned he served his mission in Guatemala for the LDS church. I say "My grandma was born there" thinking so was but it was really just Mexico. He gets all excited and wants to meet her. (He LOVES the Guatemalan people) So he then says how much he loves basketball and I told him I could beat him any day because (lie) I am just that good. So we exchange numbers and then I leave to go home.

When I got home I laid on the couch to pass out and I grab my phone and text him (WHY!?) I guess I am creepy. I text "I am serious about that basketball game" then I fell asleep.

This past week Xelly was sick (just a runny nose now) then I got sick on Saturday and am just about over it. Yesterday Jacob came home from work and started to feel sick. So we have fallen behind on some cleaning.

Is it bad to say that I have no desire to clean it up even though it sickens me out to look at?

Even being sick on Mothers day is okay because I get to just chill on the couch.

What was our Easter like?

Our Easter was
Cute!!
I put little snacks inside Xells eggs instead of candy. So when she would find one it would have puffs or gold fish inside but 1 egg had the magic jelly beans inside and she was thrilled when she found that one!!
We gave her a basket with 2 little toys a jiggle ball and a big bird book. Both were a hit. Then I dug through about 30 boxes trying to find her Easter dress. She looked so stinkin cute!
We went to church then put he pork in the crock pot & went to pick up my parents from the airport!
So far we have had some fun times and Xelly is so glad to have her grandma & grandpa here.

Rather cute if you ask me!

Remember how I said I was going to try to color some rad eggs in the post below? Well I didn't. my egg turned out 2 colors blue & green. It looked rad though. Xells was not wanting to be put down and just wanted to suck the color off the eggs. It was awesome! Then we played the Michael Jackson dance game (rad!) you should find a friend that has it because it rocks!

I am so stinkin excited about easter weekend.
1. Xells gets to wear her cute easter dress

4. My parents are coming!!!

We got Xelly her dress like 4 months ago and I cant wait to put it on her. I know she will look cute because us well she is adorable! Even covered in chocolate... she licked my ice cream bowl without me knowing until I saw her.
Easter egg hunts are always fun. I loved searching for easter eggs growing up we still do it. This will be Xells first easter egg hunt I cant wait to see if she will find them. I have let her play with an egg so she will be excited when she sees them around the house.
We are decorating easter eggs tonight at a friends house and I am going to attempt this.

My parents are coming up to visit!!! My parents rock. I cant wait to see them I need a happy dose of family & I cant wait to see them with Xells. She loves her grandparents I am sure if you put me and my mom in a room and let xelly pick she would go to my mom. Then my dad just makes her giggle and laugh forever. They are just the best!!

Blah...Don't feel obligated to read this.

I like Utah, I really do it is very beautiful, full of new adventures, and my husband and baby are here with me.

I miss Az like REALLY bad. I miss walking outside in sandals & shorts. Playing at the park and having all day pool days with BBQ's. I miss my family. my friends. and knowing where the heck I am driving to.

Even though I talk to my parents and text my friends from time to time I still feel lonely. I just want to sit inside (because to me its freezing outside) and watch tv & sleep all day. I feel pathetic. and kinda alone.

Its hard enough when lots your friends don't have kids so you don't get to see them much so you adapt & make new mommy friends but its another thing to move out of state where you don't know anyone, don't have family to turn to & try to make new friends. Trust me I suck at making friends. I am just an odd person. I have had the same friends for a while now and I have trouble keeping new friends I like routine.

Jacob, Xelly & I have had some super fun times and we have got to be more of a "family" for the past 2 weeks. Re-learning things about us and making new memories. If I say I have loved every moment of it that would be an understatement. I have loved all of our together time and look forward to the weekend like crazy because I know it gets to be just the 3 of us doing super fun new things.

I guess I am just in a funk right now. I feel like I need to shop everyday. not just clothing but groceries, plants, home decor. I don't but I just have that urge. I am not a person that normally likes to shop. If I do end up shopping its for Xelly or Jacob unless its shoes (drool).

Sorry for being a Debbie downer. The people I have met here in my neighborhood are awesome and seem so fun I just need to get out of my skin and make an effort now assume that no one wants to be my friend. I also need to stop thinking about myself then I will start to feel better and enjoy life more.

I have never been this behind on a month update for Xells. I rock.
Xelly is now 10 months old but is turning 11 in about a week! That means is almost party time!!
At 10 months old Xelly is:
19lbs - i am not sure of her height
She never really crawls unless she is playing gorilla
She loves to watch Chuggington- dances to the theme song then runs away and plays.
Says Mama, Dada, Hobbes (our cat- that was er first word at 7 months)
She understands basically everything we say except No.
Eats anything.
Has 1 full bottom tooth poking through & the 2nd just popped through yesterday!!
Playing at the park. She could stay there all day!
Bath time is her favorite! She will stay in there forever.
She loves to play with bouncy balls.
Dolls are her favorite
She will not got anywhere without her little blanket. that we lost at Walmart last night.
yes a new one is on its way.

She is a doll! I cant get enough of her!

well we have been in Utah for 1 week as of yesterday.
So far I have enjoyed my time here but for some reason it still feels like I am on vacation unpacking my luggage.
It snowed for the first few days but today and yesterday it has been sunny and slightly warm.

on Thursday night we went to bed to this

and woke up to this.

but it was gone by Friday night.

We celebrated Jacobs Birthday on the 6th! It was fun I went last minute shopping to my mall that's only about 3 minutes away! Thankfully because I cant figure out the streets here to save my life. I got him a weed eater/whacker/trimmer, Tarp, Tron and lots of kisses. He is not a big fan of cake so I made him Jello and put a candle in the middle of it.

I have gone back and forth on if I like Utah and today I decided Yes! I do. All because the ice cream truck drove past our house and I jumped back 10 years or more to the days that it was the highlight of my week to purchase something yummy!

Little Xelly fell down the stairs (16 of them) onto hard wood floors. It was the worst feeling to me and to her. I never want to experience that again that's for sure! Thankfully she is okay now she just had a little bump on her head then Sunday morning she woke up with a little black eye. Papa's kisses healed that one real quick!

All in all we are glad to be here! Some quality time together as a family enjoying one another. That sounds good to me!

I also enjoy the frequent phone calls to my family! I love hearing from them!!

Lonely Mr. Lonely.

Jacob has been gone a ton lately! I have missed him so much. He has been having to go back and forth from Utah to Az and it has been wearing me down. I don't like being away from him really even if its just an overnight trip with the guys to go shooting I start to miss him.
I am also cheesy I always send him little packages with a note. When he went to Florida for training I sent him a little letter in his suit pocket. Yesterday night when we were packing up the truck (that was busting at the seams. garage sale in the future? I think yes!) I put some treats, a drink, gum, cash, and a little note telling him to drive safe in the secret pocket of the truck so he would find it later along his trip.
I picked him up from the airport at 2pm on Friday from his week long trip and we packed till about 12am on Sat, went to bed at 1 then he got up at 3am to leave to drive to Utah.
Man oh man I cant wait to see him for longer that 10 hours. The good news is that in 9 hours and 31 minutes I get to see him again!!! like see him each day for a long time! Hug him and kiss him!! (sorry mushy)

I feel like a teenager again or like a 9 year old when you have your first real crush whenever I see him.
I cant help but get butterfly's and I become all giddy. I must be in love. I just cant wait for 9:45am to see him not like I am counting down the hours or anything : )

Lets jump waaayy back!!! All the way to June 29th 2008. Holy cow I know this is pathetic I have been blogging for like almost 3 years and am just now getting to 100 posts. Don't know how that is possible I guess I just slacked off a bunch!
Have you ever read your first post? You can read mine here. I was well basically the same as I am now just not married with a kiddo but the same personality! The picture is my at my brothers wedding I know I look thrilled. So does the girl (bailey my brothers girlfriend (still together)) behind me. Anyhow.
I am glad that I have stuck around in "blogworld" as my husband calls it and have got to meet so many new awesome people!

Remember the post about Mr. Jacob applying for a management position in Utah? Read it here if you don't.

So about 4 minutes after I posted it Jacob called me and told me he got the position but I could not say anything because he had not sighed paperwork. Well a weekish later DONE! He signed the papers yesterday and we sent over money for our soon to be house! Wanna see a picture? Its way cute.

So here we go were moving to the snow, the seasonal state and where time changes. Odd yet exciting!

So Utah here we come. 11.45 hour drives (that's from my parents house to our new place)

If you know me you know I am a maxanista. tjmaxx/marshalls is like a second home to us. So naturally when I found the house I googled the closest one to our place and guess how close it is. 4 MINUTES! its just around the corner! Along with like 80 other stores. Miracle? yes.

So officially we will be in Utah on the 2nd of April. here is to packing up a house in 9 days.

I didnt know I was pregnant...

Sometimes I watch to much TV. Today was one of those days.
Big X is sick so out of 24 hours she slept 19 of them. Wow! I was excited at first but then I started to miss her little chats and the light pitter patter of her little feet.

Anyway. The show I happen to enjoy today was "I didn't know I was pregnant"...
I (way to often) think I am pregnant even though I know for a fact that I am not. Or my awesome brothers will comment and say "well maybe your pregnant" to something I said like "man its hot in here today" then BAM my mind gets ticking and then I automatically think that I am and well crud if I start to think I am pregnant then I am going to trick my mind into thinking I am (is that really possible?) and I am going to grow a pregnant belly all over again but this time a cute little baby wont uh... come out.

So then I start to say to myself "you are so skinny and thin and so totally not pregnant" so my mind will believe I am skinny and thin and I wont magically become pregnant because of a thought. Thankfully!

How totally awkward is this.

Am I the only one out there that think its possible to look pregnant just because you think you are?

On an exciting cool note. A friend applied to be on the "I didn't know I was pregnant" show and might be airing soon!! Exciting! I didn't know that show was possible till she popped out a baby without ever looking pregnant.

Its all worth it in the end!

So I got this yummy recipe from Shalyn @ her funny blog.
I also copied like 19 other recipes that I will make and share if I ever finish this off... Read the ending. (blush)

8 ounces spaghetti
8 ounces sour cream
8 ounces cream cheese (cut up)
1 lb ground beef, cooked and drained (crumbly)
30 ounces spaghetti sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
season with salt and pepper (or anything else as you see fit)

Directions:
Prep Time: 30 minutes

I did mine in a class pan. or 3.

Total Time: 1hr
1 Use a 9x13 casserole,(increasing the spaghetti, beef, sauce and mozzarella slightly if needed). or any size you like
2 Cook the spaghetti and drain, but don't rinse.
3 Put it right back in the warm pot and add the cream cheese.
4 Blend the cream cheese until melted with the spaghetti and then blend in the sour cream.
5 Put spaghetti mixture into greased pan.
6 Layer some of the mozzarella, then the beef, then a little more mozzarella.
7 Spread the spaghetti sauce across and then put the rest of the mozzarella on top.
8 Bake at 350 for 30- 35 minutes
9 Eat!

I didn't read it correctly because I had a little girl hanging onto my leg while talking on the phone so I thought it said 30oz spaghetti and 8oz spaghetti sauce. (i know it doesn't add up) So I ended up with about 3 pans of this and a trip to the store for more sauce.
I invited my parents over we finished off one pan. Then me and big X ate it for dinner again tonight. And I will probably eat it for lunch tomorrow also. Basically- don't mess it up unless you want lots of leftovers.

To start out read this post about the 10 things I like and don't like.

So my mom read this she thought it was funny and called me a dweeb
(have not been called that in a while. thanks mom.)

Then she got to the Utah comment. She was not a fan that I said I didn't like Utah, I can safely say she would move there in about 3 seconds if the had the chance. She loves Utah.

Jacobs going to be applying for a management position to Utah soon so that means I could end up living in a state that made it into the list of the top 10 things I don't like in a matter of... oh like 2 weeks- a 1 month. Plus I have never left AZ and I have never lived away from family and I am nervous that my little girl wont remember her grandparents.

I need your help.
Can you give me some things you like about Utah so I can focus on the positive not the Negative.

I heave heard that actually have Seasons in Utah, like Summer, Winter, Fall and Spring?!? what!
Of course Lake Powell runs through Utah so it cant be all to bad.

Everyone gets frustrated

has a bad day

cant remember where they put anything

running behind on schedule

baby wont sleep

a house full of dirty laundry

no food in the fridge

having a bad hair day

dirty dishes coming out their nose.

I get frustrated I'll be honest.

I get frustrated when I walk down the stairs and see toys everywhere

after I just cleaned them all up

I get frustrated when I cant find my keys... I never remember where I put them
I get frustrated when its time to take a shower... I don't like them I'm still 5

Truthfully the one thing that really frustrates me is when Big X has a poopy diaper

I try to change it but she just keeps trying to roll over.

I mean who doesn't love poo on the carpet, your pants, and even your hand.

(that then ends up on your face because you had to wipe your hair out of your eyes)

When I get frustrated with my little lady after changing her diaper do you know what I do?

I tickle her till she lets out the biggest laugh

Then I wonder how the heck I could ever be frustrated at that cute little chuck of love.

Don't you just love how kids love you unconditionally?!

A little pee and roll

Last week Jacob & I wanted to take Xelly to the park so we figured before her nap we would take her out and play. Before we left I wanted to change her diaper I stripped her down then stretched to grab a diaper as always she crawled away so I figured eh what the heck ill give her a head start.
I started talking to Jacob then he laughed and pointed at Xelly playing on the tile with a big puddle of pee around her. We could not help but laugh - our laugh got her so excited and she tried to crawl to us and slipped then started rolling around in her pee.
So instead of a fun day at the park we had tub time!
Just about as fun as the park in her book!

You guessed it by baby girl is 8 months old!! (on the 23rd)

Yesterday we were tired of being inside so we went out back and played.

I took a few shots of her playing in the grass

After Jacob got home he wanted to go to the park so we headed on over & enjoyed some more time in the sun! Aren't they just two of the cutest things you have ever seen.

She is 18.8lbs

she loves any type of food (still has had no sugar)
sleeps 12 hours at night with 3 naps a day.
doesn't have any teeth yet but I can see it trying to poke through
she has taken 3 steps but only does it when she wants.
she has mastered the stares going up but never down
loves to help me take the clothing out of the dryer
talks all the time her favorite thing to say is hoss (hobbes) every time she sees the cat
