9 & 3

9. Jacob and I have been married for the wonderful but short 9 months. We were talking last night as we were driving to dinner with friends about how it does not seem like its already been 9 months. We thought back on some funny memories we have had and are now looking forward to the many more. this brings me to 3.
3. today is our official 3 months. more so my 3 months but Jacob plays a BIG part in it also. We have been pregnant for a total of 3 months. even though we only knew about it for the past 6 weeks I'm still glad that it has flown by so fast! I got my weekly baby update email telling me that my baby is now the size of a plum.Yummy!..time for lunch.. and that all of its systems are fully formed. SWEET!!

As another update on us.
1.we moved. again.
we moved into an apartment in Gilbert so we can get back into family mode and prepare for a baby. Its a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom. we are super excited and have loved it. It has a washer and dryer. dishwasher.(inside not on the driveway rad.) and a sink that can fit dishes in it along with a disposal. along with a microwave that does not take up 80% of the counter. nice. seems like strange things to be really stoked about but coming from the old mesa house its like gold!
2. my brother Riley and sister in law had a baby girl! She is super cute!!

That's all. I think.
Till next time.

The Desert Tradition

This weekend we decided it was plenty Halloween time to do one of our favorite "traditions". We started this last year when I was trying to convince Joni that I was a really original and creative person... haha. We invited out friends Trina and Tim to go this year to the desert where we were able to make dutch oven peach cobbler, carve pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns and eat some good fire roasted hot dogs. We had a really good time, and despite the noises that we heard from animals around us in the bushes we returned home unscathed. Thank you to the Reidheads for helping to continue the tradition. It is always such a fun time!

Jacob and I have been on a vacation every weekend for the past month. It has been very nice and we have made some good memories.
  • lake powell (a few posts down)
  • camping
  • cali
  • staycation
We had our Bluth reunion in the mountains. something like 87 out of 96 came. It rained a bunch and we played horse shoes every second we could. Big time competition.

Family pictures are always fun.

This last week we had our staycation. at home in our room. Jacob and I both got sick after the Cali trip and Jacob is still sick with Strep. no fun. He had to stay home from work all week and maybe again this next week depending on how it goes. at least were together!

We had been counting down till September 17th for about a month because that's when Hobbes got de-balled and de-clawed. No more scratches and no babies for the ladies. Bagirah is happy.
Hope everyone is doing great!

Lovely Bones

My mom bought me this book in 2002 when it came out and I loved it. I could not put it down. I have always been into the murder book and enjoyed reading things that I could try to figure out. So I heard Lovely Bones (my 2nd favorite book ever written) was going to be made into a movie I just died. Im so thrilled! December 11th 2009. Has anyone else read this book?

A life I never want to know

Every year sense I was born I have been to Lake Powell and my family has been going way before that! So a life without Lake Powell is a life I never want to know.
This year was Jacobs first time ever going to Powell and he enjoyed it! There is something about Powell that heals my soul it is probably being in a house boat with family for a week and laughing all day while making memories. We had so much fun, our families 2 favorite things to do are
1. play cards and
2. play in the water (jet skies, boats, swim)
The first night when we got there a big storm came in so we had to stay in the boat slip for the first time ever it was strange but then in the morning we went across the lake to a hill called Sand Kind. Its Huge!! And we stayed there for a night and built a slip n slide it was so fun! The slide was about 200 feet long and we slid right down into the water! The hill is so big that when you see the picture the red bucket is the start of the slide and that's not even close to 1/4 of the hill! And miss Chloe (Riley's dog and first child!)
When we were hiking up the sad hill I stopped on the side and carved mine and Jacobs names into the rock. There are names all up and down the walls depending on the water levels and how they have changed over the years.
My sister in-law and Brother Ryan came this year for the first time in
8 years. Her (Cam) first year she had little 4 week old Devanie with her and it was a crazy year! So she never wanted to come back but gave it a second chance and came this year now that her 4 kids are at a good age and she loved it. It was so much fun to play with the kids all day and watch their personalities grow.

After we left Sand king we drove about 2 hours onto the lake and found a spot and camped there, each day we moved to a new spot so the kids could see all the different places! The last 2 days we found a place that we loved. We always play horse shoes at Powell but were never able to find a flat beach spot so when we discovered this one we snatched it up and played games all day!
Me and Chloe
The whole trip was amazing and I wish I could tell all the funny storied.
There are like 100 of them!
It was so much fun and now we can start counting down the days til next year!
