Thank you for calling the DTV hotline...

So I have been working for the FCC about the digital transition taking phone calls from people that have questions. I must say it was not what I was expecting at all. I did training for the first 3 days then got put on the floor to start taking calls. The transition was scheduled to take place in Feb. but it got pushed back to the 12Th of this month. The first 3 days that I was on the floor I took a total of 54 calls in 8 hours and on June12Th I a total of 257 calls in 8 hours. It was out of control!! I hit a point where when someone would call and say they had the same problem as all the other 90 million people I had talked to and I would just not care. I felt so bad but waking up at 3 every morning and trying to be patient is just so hard for me.

Me and Jacob are officially moving out. We got boxes and are going to start packing. This past week we have had some events happen that we were hoping would not for example...

1. Jacob goes to basketball each week on the same night and doesn't get home till about 11pm so one night I was passed out on the couch and Hobbes our watch cat woke me up because someone was at the door. I went over and looked out the window and saw a man sitting on the doorstep. he was out there for about 5 min and he was playing with something I went and sat back down then he started to wiggle the handle. FREAKY!!
2. We were hanging out with my parents on Thursday night about 9 and had the door open and a man came up on his bike and knocked on the screen door and asked for water so we gave him a cup and Jacob gave him the death look and then he went on his way. Then my parents left and they called about 30 seconds later and said that that man was on the floor and the cops were handcuffing him. Strange.
3. at least 2 cop cars a day taking someone away and a new drug house!! Yeah!!
I will stop there but we have many more! like a coyote house from Mexico.. meth lab..
you know.. your normal neighborhood!

Jacob got the job that he went in for! So he quit his other one and is so happy and excited. He had an interview with the VP of the company and she loved him then he met with the manager of his division and they loved him then the President/owner/founder of the company flew down here and met with him and told him to start tomorrow (last week) so we is waiting out his 2 weeks and then he gets to start! so exciting!

Well break is over.. time to get back to the phone calls!!
